Common questions
Yes. Single vision lenses correct astigmatism as well as nearsightedness and farsightedness — your full prescription, including cylinder and axis, is cut into the lens.
If your prescription is strong, high-index (1.67 or 1.74) lenses are noticeably thinner and lighter, so they look better in your frames and feel more comfortable. For mild prescriptions, standard materials are perfectly fine.
