FAQ

How much does it cost to replace the lenses in my glasses?

Lens replacement starts at $79 CAD per pair for single vision lenses, and every pair already includes anti-glare and scratch-resistant coating standard — not an upsell. Pricing scales up for progressives, bifocals, and premium coatings, and the exact total is always shown clearly at checkout before you pay anything.

Can I get prescription lenses put into my sunglasses?

Yes — we replace lenses in sunglass frames the same way we do regular eyeglasses, with either a prescription tint or a non-prescription tint of your choice. It's the same $79 CAD starting price and the same mail-in process, since sunglasses and everyday frames go through the identical lab workflow.

Can an optician really just replace the lenses in my glasses without buying a whole new pair?

Yes — it's a standard optical service, not a workaround. Licensed opticians remove your old lenses, cut new ones to your exact prescription, and fit them precisely into your existing frame. That's the entire LensFixers process, done by mail, across Canada — no new frame purchase required.

How long does lens replacement take, and can I track my order?

Every order is completed and shipped back 7–10 business days after we've received everything we need — your frames, prescription and measurements. You'll get live tracking updates at every stage — from your frames arriving, to opticians reviewing your prescription, to your new lenses being cut and shipped back — so you always know exactly where your order stands. Do I need my Pupillary Distance (PD) to order?

No — PD isn't required to check out. Use our PD guide to measure it in under a minute, or leave it blank and our opticians will confirm it from your prescription and photos before your lenses are cut.

What if I'm not happy with my new lenses?

We stand behind every pair — if something isn't right, we'll remake your lenses at no charge within 30 days of delivery. Lens coatings are additionally backed by a 1-year manufacturer's warranty against defects like premature peeling or crazing.

Can I use my old or designer frames, or only new ones?

Any frame in good structural condition works, including designer brands like Ray-Ban, Oakley, Gucci, and Prada — we're not limited to specific brands or new frames. As long as the hinges and rims are intact, we can fit new prescription lenses into the frame you already own.
